Vernon Forrest Shot Dead

 Vernon Forrest, was a former wait champion and became well known for being the first boxer to defeat Shan Mosley.

 

38 year old Forrest had stopped at a gas station in Atlanta late Saturday night when a man approached him and asks him for money. Vernon had his wallet out and the man snatched it out his hand and ran. Vernon then went back into his vehicle and was shot to death multiple times in the torso and thigh.

 

Forrest 11 year old godson was in the convenience store at the time of the killing but did not witness the shooting.
